This week, we discussed the purpose of First Year Composition, a topic of constant debate, especially between FYC departments and those outside FYC. There was also some discussion about whether students ultimately found our courses useful/helpful, whether FYC professors make a difference, how digital literacy is seeping into our courses, and things we hope to accomplish in the future.
